A nurturing primary school based in Ealing, W13, are looking for a talented Speech and Language teaching assistant to become join their school community on a long term full time basis ASAP.
Job Description
The ideal SEN teaching assistant will be a passionate graduate who has previous experience supporting children with SEN.
As the successful speech and language teaching assistant, you will be working closely, with groups of Key Stage 1 pupils who have difficulty communicating using speech sounds, synthetic phonics and narrative groups as directed by the Speech Therapist.
You must have the skills to jump right in at the deep end and communicate on every level within the school. Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
This is a full-time role starting ASAP and will continue until the end of the next academic year.
Previous SEND experience and Makaton and PECS knowledge is essential.
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Experience with Speech and Language difficulties.
- PECS and Makaton knowledge.
- Dedicated and passionate about working with SEN
