An outstanding and well resourced Special Needs School Based in Ealing (UB6) are in need of a SEND Teaching Assistant which. This will be a full time long term placement starting ASAP.
Job Description
This role will involve supporting pupils aged between 2 – 11 years old with ASD, SLD and Complex Needs within the classroom. Previous experience working with SEND is required. The ideal special needs teaching assistant will ideally be a nurturing and energetic person who is open to providing personal care. Support workers who wish to transition to working in school settings are welcome to apply.
The successful special needs teaching assistants responsibilities will include:
- Provide one-on-one support and assistance to individuals with special needs
- Assist with educational activities and lessons tailored to each individual's needs
- Implement behaviour management strategies and techniques
- Support individuals in developing social skills and communication abilities
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create individualized plans
- Monitor and document progress and behaviour changes
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all individuals
This Special School is a child focused primary setting with amazing senior leadership in place.
Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Experience working with Autism, SLD Or Complex Needs
- Behaviour Management skills
- Be willing to provide personal care
