Supply Teacher/Cover Supervisor (Qualified and Unqualified)

KS3 & KS4

Camberley, Surrey

£100 - £211.92 per day (based on qualifications and role requirements), with a minimum of £140 per day for qualified teachers

Subject Specialties Needed: Science, Music, Design Technology, Drama, Maths, English, Modern Foreign Languages, History, Geography, Physical Education, Art, Dance, Humanities, Religious Education, and General Cover.

In this role, you will use your communication skills and confidence to deliver engaging lessons to secondary school students, covering classes in the absence of the regular teacher. Schools will provide lesson plans, registers, behaviour management guidance, and all necessary resources.

Planning and marking responsibilities apply only to long-term placements and will be discussed separately where relevant.

Requirements

  • Strong English communication and comprehension skills
  • Confidence working with students aged 11–16
  • Minimum of 3 months’ experience in teaching, childcare, tutoring, coaching, youth work, or a related field
  • Experience working with young people in a similar environment
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour and maintain student productivity
  • Effective behaviour management skills
  • A good understanding of SEND, particularly mental health needs
  • A calm, positive, and professional attitude
  • A flexible and adaptable approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with both students and school staff
  • A degree (or currently working towards one) is preferred
  • A full driving licence and access to a car (essential)
  • Experience in sports coaching or Psychology is desirable but not essential
  • Commitment to encouraging student participation and development

 

Additional Requirements

  • References confirming suitability for the role
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
  • EWC registration, or willingness to obtain it
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
