Chalk Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in St Helens. This is a full-time, long-term position with the exciting potential to become permanent for the right teacher.

We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher with Upper KS2 experience, who can inspire, motivate, and challenge learners to achieve their best as they prepare for the transition to secondary school. You’ll be supported by a collaborative KS2 teaching team, with shared planning and assessment to help ensure consistency and balance across the phase.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching to a Year 6 class.
• Plan, prepare, and assess in line with KS2 curriculum objectives.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5 or Year 6).
• Strong classroom management and effective communication skills.
• Open to both ECTs and experienced teachers.
• Commitment to safeguarding.
