Specialist SEND Support Staff – Secondary SEN Provision (Full Time, Long Term)
Liverpool | Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm | Immediate Start
Chalk Education is recruiting dedicated and experienced SEND Support Staff to work within a specialist secondary provision supporting pupils aged 11–16 with additional needs. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in young people’s lives.
About the Role
You will support students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including autism, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). Working closely with teaching staff, you will help pupils engage with learning, manage behaviour and build confidence in a structured and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND
- Support behaviour management and emotional regulation
- Assist with learning activities across the curriculum
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Promote independence, resilience and engagement
- Work collaboratively with teachers and wider staff teams
Requirements
- Experience supporting young people with SEND (essential)
- Strong skills in behaviour management and de-escalation
- Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- Ability to build rapport with secondary-aged pupils
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Available Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm (full time)
