SEN Teaching Assistant (Alternative Resource Base)
Full-Time | September Start | Primary School | North London
We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in North London for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team on a full-time basis from September.
This rewarding role is based within the school's Alternative Resource Base, supporting pupils with high levels of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will play a key role in helping children access learning, develop independence, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
The Role:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday
- September start
- Supporting pupils with complex SEND within the school's specialist provision
- Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Assisting with personal care and intimate care where required
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to deliver high-quality support
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience supporting children with complex SEND
- Confidence providing intimate care and personal care as part of the role
- A patient, caring and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
