Primary PPA Teacher
Location: St Helens
Start Date: September 2026
Working Pattern: 3–4 Days per Week (Minimum)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed Primary PPA Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in St Helens.
This role will involve providing high-quality teaching and learning across all primary year groups, covering teachers' Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time. The successful candidate will be confident teaching throughout EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour.
The Role
- Deliver planned lessons across all primary year groups.
- Provide effective classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers and support staff.
- Assess pupil learning and provide feedback where required.
- Uphold the school's values and commitment to safeguarding.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within a mainstream primary school setting.
- Confidence teaching across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A flexible and proactive approach to teaching.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
