We are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded Alternative Provision based in West Drayton, supporting students aged 11–16 who are unable to access mainstream education. The setting recently received a ‘Good’ rating across all areas in its March 2025 Ofsted inspection and continues to deliver high-impact, pupil-centred education.
The Role:
This is a full-time position teaching Humanities across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will lead a carousel-style curriculum covering History, Geography, RE and PSHE, with a particular focus on engaging and re-engaging pupils at risk of exclusion.
Key Details:
Monday–Friday, 8.30am–3.45pm
Excellent transport links (Elizabeth Line) + On-site parking
September 2025 start (cover role, potential to extend)
QTS preferred, strong behaviour management essential
Access to training and staff support available
Experience with SEMH/SEN/challenging behaviour is a must
Candidate Profile:
✔ Confident classroom practitioner, able to deliver creative, responsive lessons
✔ Previous experience working with pupils who have SEMH or behavioural needs
✔ Able to build strong relationships and foster a safe, respectful learning environment
✔ A flexible, resilient teacher who thrives in alternative or specialist settings
