Behaviour Support Assistant

About the Role:
Chalk Education is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive school environment in Wavertree. You will work closely with teaching staff to support students in managing their behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and creating an environment conducive to learning and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in managing challenging behaviour in line with school policies.
• Work alongside teachers and other staff to implement behaviour support plans.
• Promote positive behaviour, self-regulation, and social skills.
• Assist with classroom supervision and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Record and report observations of student behaviour to inform interventions.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with children or young people in educational or support settings.
• Be patient, approachable, and able to build positive relationships.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be adaptable and confident in managing challenging situations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in behaviour support or classroom assistance is preferred.
• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or behavioural support are a plus.
