Position: Behaviour Support Assistant
Contract Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Hours: 8:30-3:30pm
Pay: from £90 per day

 

About Us:
Chalk education is recruiting for a school in Liverpool to help support students with challenging behaviour and SEMH. The school’s focus is on supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours. They are looking for a passionate and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join their dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH and challenging behaviour in both individual and group settings.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to create tailored support plans.
  • Foster a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the educational team.
  • Build trusting relationships with students, encouraging their personal and social development.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in supporting children with SEMH and challenging behaviours, ideally in a school setting.
  • A background in residential childcare or similar fields is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Resilience, patience, and a proactive approach to behaviour management.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or behaviour management are advantageous.

  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
