Chalk Education is looking for support workers who are able to support secondary age pupils who have autism, within a school that caters for young people with special needs. This role is based on working 39 weeks of the year however additional hours within the residential is also possible. The hours for working within the school are 8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday.
This role is ideal for individuals who come from a care, residential support background or those that have come directly from an educational establishment. Graduates who are seeking a role to help fulfil their work experience would also be considered as long as they can do full time.
Additional requirements:
- Experience working with Autistic pupils on the severe spectrum
- Care work background is desirable
- Committed to supporting children
- Experience raising attainment of pupils
- References confirming suitability for role
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Eligibility to work in the UK
