Chalk Education is proud to be working with a specialist Secondary Alternative Provision (AP) supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are looking for a passionate, resilient, and committed teacher to deliver Maths, English, and Science who is driven to make a genuine difference in young people’s lives.
About the Role
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to secondary learners in an AP/SEMH environment
- Create a supportive, trauma‑informed classroom atmosphere
- Work closely with pastoral and SEN teams to meet individual needs
- Support behaviour regulation and promote student wellbeing across the provision
Requirements
- Preferred: QTS or PGCE
- Considered: PTLLS / QTLLS (with adjusted pay scale)
- Experience in SEMH, PRU, AP, or SEN settings is highly desirable
- Strong behaviour management and a positive, restorative approach
- Proactive, empathetic, and adaptable mindset
