SEND 1:1 Support Assistant – Mainstream Primary School – Fazakerley, Liverpool

Location: Fazakerley, Liverpool L10
Hours: Full-time, 8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: 3rd Sept

Contract Type: Ongoing, long-term

Chalk Education is currently recruiting for a committed and experienced SEND 1:1 Support Assistant to join a warm and welcoming mainstream primary school in Fazakerley, Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s learning journey by providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with autism.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience supporting children or adults with autism (essential)
  • A calm, patient and proactive approach to supporting learning and managing behaviour
  • A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs
  • Ability to build strong, nurturing relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Commitment to working full-time (Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm)

Your Role Will Include:

  • Providing consistent 1:1 support tailored to the needs of a pupil with autism
  • Supporting the child to access learning and develop key social skills
  • Liaising with class teachers and the SENCO to ensure the child’s progress
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
