Chalk Education is recruiting an experienced and committed SEMH Classroom Assistant to join a specialist provision in the Lowton area. This is a permanent, full‑time role supporting pupils with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs.

About the Role

You will work as part of a dedicated team to provide personalised support for children with autism, challenging behaviour, and additional learning needs. The role includes assisting with behaviour regulation, delivering individual interventions, and supporting pupils both in the classroom and during other activities to help them reach their full potential.

Requirements

• Essential UK-based experience working with autism and challenging behaviour
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
• Strong and consistent behaviour management skills
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
