Picture this: You’re a pillar of support for incredible SEND children, aged 4 to 11, as they navigate the complexities of behaviour and mental health challenges. You'll be their constant source of stability and encouragement, helping them manage their emotions, develop coping strategies, and build positive relationships. Through personalized interventions and compassionate guidance, you'll play a crucial role in their daily lives, contributing to their overall well-being and success.
No prior experience in a similar role? No problem! Personal experience supporting SEND is just as valuable! A clean DBS is essential, and if you need help with your application, we're here to assist!
If you're aspiring to be an educational or occupational psychologist, therapeutic support worker, or SEN teacher, this role is an exciting pathway for growth and success!
This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring psychologists to collaborate closely with on-site therapists and psychologists. You'll receive mentorship and have the chance to shadow sessions, gaining invaluable insights along the way. Job Description
- Team up with the teacher to tackle behavioural and special needs concerns with a positive and collaborative spirit.
- Deliver tailored interventions with enthusiasm, catering to the unique needs of students with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND).
- Assist in bringing lesson plans, objectives, and materials to life alongside the teacher, creating an engaging learning atmosphere.
- Lead dynamic activities for small groups of students, fostering a sense of excitement and camaraderie.
- Cheerfully support the teacher in testing and assessment processes, celebrating each student's progress.
