Join a vibrant Secondary School in Hampstead, NW2, which is seeking two skilled HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistants) to join their dedicated team on a full-time basis starting from September 2024. This position offers long-term prospects with the potential for permanent placement for the right candidate. You will work full-time, Monday to Friday, supporting class teachers across various classrooms.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Support class teachers in delivering effective learning experiences.
- Maintain positive behaviour standards consistently.
- Provide targeted support to small groups and individual students.
- Cover classes during teacher absence and implement intervention plans.
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of the curriculum and effective strategies for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This role operates from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Alongside our committed staff, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students.
Requirements:
- Experience working with Secondary aged pupils (11-16 years old).
- Holds a relevant degree or HLTA qualification.
- Minimum one year of experience in educational settings.
- Understanding of various SEN needs.
- Excellent behaviour management skills fostering a positive learning environment.
- Passionate about education, dedicated to making a difference.
