Description
A welcoming and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Tower Hamlets, E1, is seeking a Behaviour Mentor / Special Needs Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with ADHD, Dyslexia, and challenging behaviour. This role begins as soon as possible and continues until the end of the academic year (July 2025).
About the Role
- Build strong, positive bonds with the student, offering both academic and emotional support throughout the school day.
- Implement tailored strategies to manage and improve behaviour, foster social-emotional growth, and nurture a positive mindset.
- Collaborate with teachers, the SENCO, and other staff members to develop and apply individualised behaviour plans.
- Safeguard and protect the welfare of children and young people, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
About You
- You have practical experience supporting learners with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- You bring strong behaviour management skills and can adapt approaches to suit individual needs.
- You are passionate and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children from diverse backgrounds.
- You’re motivated, empathetic, and committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential.
