A Secondary School based in Haringey, N8 which caters for young people across Key Stages 3 -4 is looking for behaviour mentors to join them ASAP
Job Description
The ideal Behaviour Mentors will; be energetic and creative and be able to motivate and inspire pupils within their care. The role involves supporting young people between the ages of 11 to 16 (Key Stages 3 and 4), successfully engage pupils in learning, helping them to develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
The perfect SEND teaching assistant for this role will ideally have previous experience dealing with SEMH and Challenging behaviour. TeamTeach training is highly desirable but not essential. This is an amazing position for a SEND teaching assistant who is passionate about working with students with challenging behaviour and an opportunity to be a positive role model and make a real difference.
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Experience with Challenging Behaviour or SEMH
- Excellent Behaviour Management Skills
- Dedicated and passionate about education
