Are you an experienced mentor or SEN support professional with a talent for helping pupils manage social, emotional, and behavioural challenges? Chalk Education is working with a specialist setting setting in Stockport that provides structured, relationship-led support to pupils with SEMH needs.

The school focuses on creating a safe and consistent environment where pupils can build emotional regulation, confidence, and positive social skills. Staff collaborate closely to provide individualised support and encourage pupils to engage fully with learning.

As a Behavioural Support Mentor, you will help pupils overcome behavioural and emotional barriers to learning. You will work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement behaviour strategies, deliver targeted interventions, and support pupils during periods of dysregulation. Your guidance will help pupils develop self-control, resilience, and positive engagement across the curriculum.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Has experience working in UK schools

Essential requirements:

  • Professional references confirming suitability for working with children
