As an Autism Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in helping students with Autism thrive—supporting them to access learning, grow in confidence, and develop essential life skills in a warm, structured, and nurturing environment. You’ll work closely with dedicated teachers and specialist staff to deliver tailored education and behaviour plans, offering one-to-one and small group support that truly makes a difference. From helping pupils regulate emotions and communicate more effectively, to encouraging positive social interaction, your support will be invaluable every step of the way. You’ll also be a vital part of the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of every child.

To be considered for the Autism Support Worker role, candidates should have experience (either professional or personal) supporting young people with Autism and Learning Disabilities. Strong behaviour management skills and excellent communication abilities are essential, along with a positive attitude and a flexible, proactive approach. An enhanced DBS certificate is required for the role; however, support can be provided to complete this if necessary. A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is crucial, as is eligibility to work in the UK.
