Autism Support Worker (1:1) – Key Stage 1

Chalk Education is proud to be working alongside a friendly and supportive primary school in Speke to appoint a committed Autism Support Worker. This role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support for a child in Key Stage 1.
This is a highly rewarding position for someone who is passionate about supporting children with autism and enabling them to flourish both academically and emotionally within a nurturing school environment.
About the Role
- Delivering 1:1 support for a pupil with autism in a KS1 classroom
- Supporting learning, participation, and emotional regulation throughout the school day
- Applying strategies to enhance communication, behaviour, and social interaction
- Collaborating closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school team
- Promoting a calm, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere
About You
- Experience supporting children with autism and/or SEND (within a school or similar setting)
- Patient, caring, and consistent in your approach
- Strong understanding of KS1 and child development
- Able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Reliable, proactive, and dedicated to making a meaningful impact
