Autism Support Worker (1:1) – KS1
Location: Speke, Liverpool

Chalk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Speke to recruit a dedicated Autism Support Worker to provide 1:1 support for a child in Key Stage 1.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with autism and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally within a school setting.
The role:
- Providing 1:1 support for a child with autism in a KS1 classroom
- Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional regulation throughout the school day
- Implementing strategies to support communication, behaviour, and social interaction
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff
- Creating a calm, positive, and supportive learning environment
The ideal candidate:
- Has experience supporting children with autism and/or SEND (school or similar setting)
- Is patient, nurturing, and consistent
- Has a good understanding of KS1 and child development
- Can build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff
- Is reliable, proactive, and committed to making a difference
