Description

In this Teaching Assistant role, you will support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) both in the classroom and during lunch and break times. Working closely with the class teacher, you will assist in a range of learning activities and help create a positive, safe, and engaging environment for all pupils. The role also includes leading small group sessions to support individual learning needs.

You will be working with children with complex needs, physical disabilities and be confident with personal care.

This position is ideal for a supportive and adaptable individual with a positive attitude and strong mentoring skills. The school offers excellent facilities and a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring you are well-equipped to contribute effectively to the pupils’ development.

To be considered for this role you will need:

· Experience supporting young people with SEMH/Challenging behaviour

· Ideal would be De-escalation / positive handling training

· A positive attitude and flexible approach

· Confident with personal care

Additional requirements:

o References confirming suitability for role

o Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service

o Eligibility to work in the UK
