Description
Are you an SEN Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs? Chalk Education is currently recruiting for a specialist primary setting in Chester that supports children who require additional emotional and behavioural guidance to succeed in school.
In this role, you will provide tailored support to pupils with SEN needs, both inside and outside of the classroom. You will assist in managing behaviour, reinforcing individual support plans, and delivering interventions that help pupils develop coping strategies and positive social skills. You will work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
This role would suit someone who:
- Can manage challenging behaviour confidently and calmly
- Has experience within SEN, specialist, or alternative education settings
- Communicates clearly and builds positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Is adaptable, resilient, and emotionally aware
- Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- Has worked in UK schools previously
Essential requirements:
- References that confirm suitability for working with children
- An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service
- The right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
