1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEND)

Primary School – Speke, Liverpool

Chalk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Speke, Liverpool, to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in a child’s educational journey and thrives in a nurturing school environment.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 support for a SEND pupil within a primary classroom setting
• Supporting the child’s academic, social and emotional development
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo and wider school team
• Implementing individual support strategies and adapting learning activities
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience working with SEND children (school-based or transferable experience considered)
• Is patient, empathetic and reliable
• Confident working on a 1:1 basis
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and inclusion
• Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS
