1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEND)
Primary School – Speke, Liverpool
Chalk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Speke, Liverpool, to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in a child’s educational journey and thrives in a nurturing school environment.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 support for a SEND pupil within a primary classroom setting
- Supporting the child’s academic, social and emotional development
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo and wider school team
- Implementing individual support strategies and adapting learning activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with SEND children (school-based or transferable experience considered)
- Is patient, empathetic and reliable
- Confident working on a 1:1 basis
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and inclusion
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS
