Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Pay Rate: £90 - £110 per day (DOE)
Location: Longsight, Manchester (Special Educational Needs School)
Contract Type: 6 month contract, full time (starting 19/01/26)

Are you a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a specialist setting? Chalk Education is working with a dedicated SEN school in Longsight that provides tailored education for pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. This nurturing environment focuses on personalised learning and holistic development, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.

In this role, you’ll work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide targeted support for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) challenges. You’ll assist with learning programmes, behaviour management strategies, and help foster positive relationships to promote engagement and inclusion across the curriculum.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience supporting children with diverse learning needs and disabilities
• Team Teached Trained
• Have proven experience working in SEN settings or supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Have a nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach to meet individual pupil needs
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children
• Have experience working in UK schools

Additional requirements:

• References confirming suitability for the role
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service
• Eligibility to work in the UK – No Visa Sponsorship
