About the Role
Chalk Education is recruiting a male Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Litherland. This full-time role is available for an immediate start. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to male students, working closely with teaching staff to ensure students’ learning, wellbeing, and safeguarding needs are met, including supervision in sensitive situations such as changing for PE.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct classroom and activity-based support to male students with SEND.

• Assist with personal care and supervision during PE and other activities requiring same-gender support.

• Follow individual education plans and implement support strategies as directed by teaching staff.

• Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

• Support staff in maintaining daily routines and promoting student wellbeing.

Requirements

• Male candidate, in line with safeguarding and student support requirements.

• Experience working with children with SEND is desirable but not essential.

• Patient, empathetic, and confident communicator.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
