Setting: Mainstream Primary School (Part of a Multi Academy Trust)

Chalk Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school located in the L19 area. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs, working within a supportive environment that values inclusion and high standards of care.

The Role:

You will:

• Work closely with children with additional needs, supporting them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
• Contribute to the creation of a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Liaise with staff, parents, and outside agencies as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally supporting children with SEND.
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A flexible and proactive approach.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
