Job Description

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to:

• Provide personalized support to students, helping them understand new concepts, offering emotional support, and assisting with daily activities.
• Work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored learning plans, adapting teaching methods and resources to meet each student's unique needs.
• Offer one-on-one support, facilitate group activities, and assist with classroom management.
• Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
• Your role will require patience, empathy, and creativity as you support students academically, socially, and in building their independence and self-confidence.

Requirements

• A clean DBS check uploaded to the update service, or a willingness to apply for one (we’re here to help you with the process!).
• Previous experience (whether personal or professional) supporting children/ young people with SEND. This could include a range of settings like childcare, tutoring, nursery assistance, sports, or classroom environments. Your unique background will be a valuable asset!
