SEND Teaching Assistant – Litherland

Chalk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Litherland to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position.

This role is starting in January and offers the opportunity to continue for the full academic year, with the potential for further extension for the right candidate.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), both in and out of the classroom
• Working closely with class teachers and the wider support team to deliver tailored learning and care plans
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils access the curriculum and develop socially and emotionally
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based experience preferred)
• A patient, caring, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
