A welcoming and vibrant one-form entry primary school in Haringey, N17, is seeking two Teaching Assistants to join their team and provide 1:1 support for pupils with Autism. These roles are available immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year (July 2025).

• Year 1 Teaching Assistant – supporting a pupil with Autism to stay engaged and focused on tasks.
• Year 3 Teaching Assistant – working closely with a pupil with Autism, offering guidance and communication support.

Pay Rate: £90 - £110 per day (PAYE), depending on experience.

Job Description

The ideal candidates will have experience working with pupils with Autism and be passionate about providing tailored support to meet their individual needs. You will assist pupils with staying focused, managing transitions, and improving communication skills, while fostering their social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 support to pupils with Autism in class.
• Helping pupils stay focused on assigned tasks and assisting with communication.
• Collaborating with the teaching team to implement strategies that support the pupils’ learning.
• Supporting the school’s safeguarding and welfare policies.

Requirements:

• Experience working with pupils with Autism.
• A practical approach to meeting individual learning needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy, and dedication to supporting children’s development.
