We are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and culturally diverse Primary School in Mill Hill, NW7. This role involves supporting early years children, particularly those with SEND
Key Responsibilities:
- Personalised Support: Provide dedicated care and assistance to children with SEN, creating a nurturing and secure environment where every child can thrive.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with staff and parents, ensuring effective communication on children’s daily activities and health needs.
- Safeguarding: Play a crucial role in safeguarding efforts to ensure the welfare and safety of our young learners.
- Educational Support: Assist in delivering lessons alongside the class teacher, championing each child’s educational journey with individualized support.
Requirements:
- Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Early Years curriculum.
- Care Commitment: Willingness to assist with personal care tasks such as toileting and mealtime support.
- Experience: Proven experience working with SEN children.
Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Additional requirements:
- References confirming suitability for role
- Commitment to Safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Eligibility to work in the UK
