Job Description:
This SEND School are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant with a genuine passion for working with ASD pupils to serve as float teaching assistants across their primary and secondary classes.

Experience with PECS or Makaton is highly desirable, though not essential. Most importantly, the ideal special needs teaching assistant will possess a calm demeanour, be adept at de-escalating challenging situations, and exhibit a proactive, can-do attitude. The successful SEN teaching assistant will play a crucial role in safeguarding and protecting the welfare of our children, collaborating closely with our supportive and dedicated staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SEN Support: Assist pupils with Autism, complex needs, and challenging behaviour.
  • Specialist Skills: Experience with PECS and Makaton is advantageous.
  • Commitment: Full-time role, Monday to Friday.
