Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistants (10 Positions Available)
Location: Alderley Edge
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Setting: SEN Provision (School and College, KS1–KS4)
We are currently seeking 10 dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist provision in Alderley Edge. This setting supports children and young people from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 4 with complex Special Educational Needs.
Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of complex needs, helping them access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential in both school and college environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with complex SEN, both in and out of the classroom
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning plans
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Assist with classroom activities and help maintain a safe, structured learning environment
- Promote inclusion and positive engagement across all areas of learning
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with Special Educational Needs in the UK
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Ability to adapt to different learning needs and behavioural challenges
