Description

Chalk Education is recruiting for an experienced and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in the Lowton area. This is a permanent, full‑time role supporting pupils with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs.

About the Role

You will work as part of a committed team to provide tailored support for children with autism, challenging behaviour, and additional learning needs. The role involves assisting with behaviour regulation, delivering individualised interventions, and supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom to help them achieve their full potential.

Requirements

  • Essential UK-based experience working with autism and challenging behaviour
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people
  • Resilience, patience, and a calm, supportive approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
