Teaching Assistant – Secondary SEMH School (Woolton, Liverpool)
Chalk Education are recruiting dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants to join a specialist secondary setting in Woolton, Liverpool. This school supports young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, many of whom have experienced trauma or attachment difficulties.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital support to pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping them to access learning, regulate their emotions, and develop essential life skills. You’ll work closely with teaching staff and the wider team to create a safe, supportive environment where every student is given the opportunity to succeed.
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term-time only)

- Experienced in supporting young people with SEND or SEMH needs
- Patient, empathetic, and consistent when managing challenging behaviours
- Skilled in building positive relationships with teenagers and young adults
- Proactive, flexible, and committed to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable learners

Start Date: Immediate and September starts available
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term
