Part-Time SEMH Primary Teacher
Location: Childwall, Liverpool
Working Pattern: 3–4 days per week

Chalk Education is partnering with a primary school in Childwall to recruit an experienced and resilient SEMH Primary Teacher for a part-time position.
This role will involve covering PPA across the school and supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including attachment and trauma-related difficulties. The successful candidate will bring a calm, consistent and confident approach, building strong relationships with pupils while maintaining clear boundaries and high expectations.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be an experienced Primary Teacher with a strong understanding of SEMH needs
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and remain composed in challenging situations
- Have experience supporting pupils with attachment and trauma-informed needs
- Be flexible and adaptable, working across different classes within the school
- Be able to commit to 3–4 days per week
Important Information:
- This is a highly challenging role
- Not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
- Experience in SEMH settings, alternative provision or trauma-informed environments is highly desirable
