Male Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Chalk Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school. This role is specifically aimed at male candidates to provide positive role models and support for male students, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support male students with SEMH needs in the classroom and during structured activities.
- Assist in delivering individual and group interventions tailored to students’ needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and provide guidance to help students manage emotions and interactions.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement personalised learning plans.
- Monitor and record student progress, reporting to relevant staff.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a male role model with experience working with children or young people.
- Have a calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be adaptable, resilient, and confident in managing challenging behaviour.
- Have relevant experience supporting students with SEMH needs
