Description
Daily rate: £100 – £140 (PAYE)
Hours: 8 am – 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary (immediate start)
Location: West Drayton, London Borough of Hillingdon – easy walk from the Elizabeth Line and free on‑site parking.
The setting
Join a successful, co‑educational Alternative Provision that supports 11‑ to 16‑year‑olds who cannot attend mainstream school. Ofsted judged the provision “Good” across the board in March 2025, praising its positive culture and strong outcomes. You’ll be part of a small, tight‑knit team that believes kindness and high expectations go hand‑in‑hand.
The role
You’ll be the calm centre of a busy front‑of‑house, keeping the wheels turning so teachers can teach and pupils can thrive.
- First‑point reception duties – greeting visitors, answering calls, safeguarding sign‑in.
- Day‑to‑day admin from pupil files to staff absence logs.
- Mastermind of Arbor (essential) plus Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Rapid‑fire data entry and reporting for attendance, behaviour and safeguarding software.
- Ad‑hoc tasks that crop up in a lively school office – from printing exam papers to ordering biscuits for CPD!
About you
We’re looking for an administrator who is:
- Experienced in a school office and an expert user of Arbor.
- Organised, resilient and unflappable – you hit deadlines when others hit the panic button.
- Warm, good‑natured and genuinely caring – pupils pick up on your calm, positive vibe.
- A quick thinker who can juggle competing priorities while keeping a smile (and maybe cracking the odd witty one‑liner).
What’s in it for you?
- Friendly, purpose‑driven team committed to changing lives.
- Ongoing CPD and pastoral support.
- Convenient commute – 20 mins from Paddington on the Lizzie Line.
- Free parking if you prefer four wheels to rails.
