Psychology Graduate – School-Based Role
Location: South Liverpool & Knowsley
Pay: £90–£105 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time Only
Start Date: Immediate or September 2025
Are you a psychology graduate passionate about supporting young people and making a difference in education?
Chalk Education is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic psychology graduates to join schools across South Liverpool and Knowsley. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience supporting students with additional needs, mental health challenges, or behavioural difficulties, while working alongside experienced educators and support staff.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who require additional emotional or behavioural support
- Helping implement intervention strategies designed by school SENCOs and educational psychologists
- Supporting students with their learning, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
- Collaborating with teachers and school staff to ensure consistent support across the school day
- Acting as a positive role model and trusted adult within the school environment
What we’re looking for:
- A degree in psychology or a closely related field
- A genuine interest in child and adolescent development
- Some experience (formal or informal) working with children or young people
- Strong communication and empathy skills
- A proactive and resilient attitude
- DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
