We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled SEN Teacher to join a well-established SEN provision in Wigan, working with primary-aged pupils who require tailored and nurturing educational support.

Position Details:

• Role: SEN Teacher
• Location: SEN Provision in Wigan
• Start Date: ASAP
• Daily Pay Rate: £130 - £180 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
• Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Contract Type: Ongoing with the potential for a permanent position

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with ASD and SEMH
• Create a safe, supportive, and structured environment that promotes emotional and academic development
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider school team
• Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and track pupil progress
• Use positive behaviour strategies to support students in managing emotions and behaviour

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – This is a mandatory requirement
• A minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience, ideally within an SEN or inclusive setting
• Strong knowledge and understanding of ASD, SEMH, and associated strategies and interventions
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
• Patience, empathy, and a resilient, proactive approach to classroom challenges
