An outstanding, purpose‑built Special Educational Needs school in the N20 area is searching for a passionate Primary SEN Teacher with a proven focus on Autism (ASD). From September 2025, you’ll take on a vibrant, well‑resourced class of 6–8 pupils (mixed KS1/KS2), each supported by experienced SEN Teaching Assistants.

Your role
- Plan and deliver engaging, multisensory lessons aligned to EHCP targets and the primary National Curriculum
- Lead and inspire a skilled team of SEN TAs, setting high expectations for personalised progress
- Use AAC, PECS, Makaton or other autism‑friendly strategies to maximise communication and independence
- Track and celebrate every small step of attainment using specialist assessment frameworks
- Work closely with parents, therapists and external agencies to create joined‑up support
We’re looking for
- QTS (or equivalent) with recent, successful teaching experience in an ASD or complex‑needs setting
- Deep understanding of ASC and evidence‑based interventions (TEACCH, SCERTS, PECS, Attention Autism, etc.)
- Skilled classroom manager able to nurture positive behaviour through structure, consistency and warmth
- Resilient, reflective practitioner with boundless patience and a genuine belief in every child’s potential
