We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral and Transitional Lead to join a vibrant secondary school in Palmers Green, Enfield, starting September 2025. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact the lives of Year 7 students, ensuring they feel secure, supported, and ready to thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the transition process for Year 7 students, ensuring a smooth entry into secondary education.
- Provide pastoral support, guidance, and mentoring to students, addressing any emotional, social, or behavioural needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create supportive networks around students.
- Monitor attendance, academic progress, and general wellbeing, implementing interventions as necessary.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience in pastoral care, mentoring, or student support roles, ideally within a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Be proactive, adaptable, and committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
- Possess a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and student welfare.
