Chalk Education are recruiting on behalf of a nurturing and inclusive specialist provision in Winsford, who are looking to appoint a passionate and qualified Forest School Practitioner from September 2025 until July 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about outdoor learning and experienced in delivering forest school sessions to children with a range of additional needs, including SEMH and ASD. The successful candidate will deliver five 2-hour sessions per week across two morning sessions (10:00am – 12:00 midday) and three afternoon sessions (1:00pm – 3:00pm).

  • Role: Forest School Practitioner
  • Start Date: September 2025
  • End Date: July 2026
  • Hours: 5 x 2-hour sessions per week (2 mornings 10am -12midday + 3 afternoons 1-3pm)
  • Pay: £17 – £20 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
  • Contract Type: Fixed term, part-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, safe and inclusive forest school activities tailored to the needs and abilities of small groups of pupils
  • Foster confidence, resilience, teamwork and communication through nature-based learning
  • Work closely with school staff to support the emotional and social development of pupils
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are strictly followed in all sessions

Essential Requirements:

  • Recognised Forest School qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Proven experience of delivering forest school sessions, ideally in a SEN or alternative provision setting
  • Confident in outdoor risk management and adapting activities for individual needs
  • Strong communication skills and a nurturing, creative approach
  • Ability to commit to the full academic year
