Description
We are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-established Special Educational Needs school in Essex. This is a full-time position, starting immediately, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
The school is a Good-rated Ofsted provision, recognised for its strong leadership, inclusive ethos, and commitment to supporting pupils with complex and diverse needs. Staff work closely as a team to provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where pupils are supported to achieve both academically and socially.
The Role:

Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex needs

Working 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and development
-
Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
-
Supporting personal care and life skills where required
-
Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working within an SEN setting (school or alternative provision)

Calm, patient, and resilient approach
-
Confident managing challenging behaviour
-
Committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
-
Available to work full time and start ASAP
