Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEND 1:1 Support) – Mainstream Primary School
Location: Parr, St Helens
Contract: Full time, Term Time Only (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm)
Start Date: ASAP

Chalk Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a welcoming mainstream primary school.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a SEND pupil, adapting learning materials and activities to meet individual needs
• Assist the class teacher with planning, assessment and classroom management
• Encourage the pupil’s independence, confidence and engagement in learning
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO and external professionals
• Support the wider classroom environment when required

Requirements:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous experience supporting children with SEND (preferably in a primary setting)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A caring, patient and positive approach
• Availability Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm during term time
