Could this be the role you've been looking for? We are supporting a fantastic primary school in Basingstoke, Hampshire, in their search for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant. Joining this dedicated team will give you the chance to positively influence children's educational journeys and help them grow in confidence and ability.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pupils to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment. You'll provide focused support to individuals and small groups of children, including those with mild Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them overcome barriers to learning and build confidence both academically and socially. From assisting with classroom activities and interventions to supporting students' personal development, you'll play a key role in their educational journey.
Previous experience working with children is essential, along with a valid enhanced DBS check, or a willingness to obtain one, which we can support you with. Experience supporting children with SEND would be highly advantageous, but we also welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills gained through tutoring, sports coaching, childcare, youth work, care settings, or parenting. Above all, we're looking for individuals who are patient, enthusiastic, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young learners.
