Learning Support Assistant
Location: South Liverpool
Hours of work: 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay: £90 per day
Chalk Education Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant for a full-time position at a friendly primary school in South Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and make a positive impact on young learners.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will provide one-to-one and small group support for children, helping them engage with the curriculum, develop social skills, and build confidence. The role requires a strong understanding of child development and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students. The position is full-time, with flexible working hours, and offers a chance to contribute to the early stages of children's education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Assist with the development of children's literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils as needed.
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor progress and report observations to the class teacher.
- Support children with additional needs in line with their individual plans.
Essential Requirements:
- A good understanding of the national curriculum and child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
- Experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable but not essential).
