Job Description:

Are you enthusiastic, energetic, and ready to make a positive impact? We are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and culturally diverse Primary School in Islington, N1. This role involves supporting early years children, particularly those with special educational needs (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

· Personalized Support: Provide dedicated care and assistance to children with SEN, creating a nurturing and secure environment where every child can thrive.

· Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with staff and parents, ensuring effective communication on children’s daily activities and health needs.

· Safeguarding: Play a crucial role in safeguarding efforts to ensure the welfare and safety of our young learners.

· Educational Support: Assist in delivering lessons alongside the class teacher, championing each child’s educational journey with individualized support.

Requirements:

· Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Early Years curriculum.

· Care Commitment: Willingness to assist with personal care tasks such as toileting and mealtime support.

· Experience: Proven experience working with SEN children.

Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
