Are you an experienced Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant seeking an exciting new challenge? Do you have a passion for supporting pupils on a 1-to-1 basis and making a real difference in their education journey?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a committed and skilled Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to join a Year 6 class at a primary school in Haringey.
The Role:
In the mornings, you will provide tailored support to two Year 6 pupils with autism, communication challenges, and learning difficulties. A background in sports will be essential, as you'll need to keep up with their energetic pace and help channel their focus.
In the afternoons, you’ll assist the class teacher with a range of responsibilities, including:
- General classroom support, preparing resources, and working with other pupils as needed.
- Collaborating with staff to implement school policies and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people in line with school procedures.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Experience working with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and a willingness to provide personal care when required.
- Previous experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- A passion for education and a dedicated approach to nurturing pupil development.
